He is the Chairman of Helbraun Levey, the law firm he founded and has grown into New York’s premier practice dedicated to the needs of the restaurant and hospitality industries. Separate from his practice of law, David has over thirty years of experience in the restaurant industry including opening and operating Pyramid Coffee Company, a multi-unit cafe business in Manhattan.
He recently served as the Chair of the Hospitality Law Committee of the NYC Bar Association and is a board member of the NYC Food & Beverage Hospitality Council. He was also a founding board member of Drive Change, a non-profit organization that trains formerly incarcerated young people in hospitality as a way to reintegrate them into the workforce.
David earned his BA from SUNY Albany and JD from Delaware Law School at Widener University. He is admitted to practice in New York.
